Getting started...

Well, I’ve told several people that I’d start a blog to keep everyone updated while studying abroad next semester. I don’t know how much I’ll be able to email, so I thought the best way to let you know what’s going on is through a blog.

For those of you who don’t know, I will be spending my spring semester studying in Egypt with a group of about 35 other students. We will live in Cairo for most of the time, taking Arabic and other classes on politics, culture, and religion. On weekends, we’ll do some traveling around the country and then there is a travel portion of the semester spent going to various Middle Eastern countries all depending on the political stability.

It’s going to be a challenging semester, but I’m looking forward to all I’m going to learn and experience and what God will teach me.

For now though, I’m just trying to get home to Kenya for Christmas and the weather is not cooperating. I’m sure I’ll get there eventually though!
